Columbus Day is a holiday set aside to honor Christopher Columbus. The day is considered controversial, due to historical recognition that Columbus was a brutal autocrat who traded slaves. Columbus did not discover America. Vikings & Chinese came here first. He thought he discovered a short route to India but he was far off. He believed he discovered short route until his death.
