X-Tempo Designs is an American DAW (digital audio workstation) technology company founded in 2005 by Trevor Nathanial.
Products
X-Tempo Designs’ flagship product is a digital audio workstation (DAW) accessory named the pok. The pok is the world’s first wireless foot-operated remote control for DAWs. It provides musicians, DJs, producers and performers hands-free wireless remote control of Mac and PC-based audio recording software such as Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase, and Ableton Live. The pok is programmable via the pok Editor software and can be customized to a user’s preferences. The pok utilizes wireless USB technology in conjunction with the DAW's keyboard commands (“shortcut keys"). For musicians who self-record, the pok frees their hands for performance with their instruments, as well as remote operation of the DAW computer recording sessions from another room. The pok is also used by DJs and stage performers to remotely activate their DAW up to 70 feet from the stage.
