"Sarey Savy" (born March 1, 1996) is a Cambodian ocassional actor, former dancer, model and singer-songwriter. In August 2010, Cambodia's Best magazine listed Savy as #3 of the Most Influential Cambodian Artists In The World [1].


Career

The singer's career started when he garnered attention on becoming one of AGT's "Top 40 YouTube Performers" which the main role of "Alex" was given to Savy for his first debut film Sanitorium.

Acting

The singer is slated be a part of another upcoming film with a new director as stated on Facebook. He recently finished filming Sanitorium and is now trying to become a professional actor and model. His modeling is said to portray Savy as a more grown up and mature sex icon.

Music

Savy released his new promotional single Murderer which was commercially unsuccessful. Yet still has had airplay and was popular among his fanbase also, more successful then his previous promo single Gone [2][3] the single had Cambodian bloggers say Sarey is "The coolest Cambodian kid you never heard of"[4]. Sarey has stated the first single is to be released in 2011.

Sarey has been chosen behalf of Anthem's International Music Festival also known as IMF as the winner of being the representative for Seattle in a singing contest which he advanced to the top 70 for Washington state[5].

Controversy

Sarey will appear as a new face to the IPhone's new app which many critics have slated the singer would be "perfect" for the role Template:Fact.

Philantropy

Sarey has also helped Haiti after the hard 9.0 magnitude earthquake by raising $10,000 alongside the "British Red Cross" [6]. In August 2010, he slated he would be helping "British Red Cross" into raising an amount of 50,000$ Template:Fact. The singer opened a small store in 2010, under Zazzle.com named SareySavyProducts which you can purchase Sarey Savy binders, a calendar, posters, mugs and more [7]. All of the proceeds go to the after school programs in all 6 regions.
