Night of the Living Dead is a [[Release Date:=1968-01-01|1968-01-01]] film directed by [[Director:=George A. Romero|George A. Romero]] on a miniscule budget of $114,000 (USD) that has grown to be one of the biggest cult classics of all time. The neglect of the original theatrical distributor to place a copyright notice on the prints of the film put the film entirely in the realm of public domain.
