Search Engine Partner is a highly questionable operation, hiring hundreds of subcontractors to drum up business leads, with non-payment complaints becoming more frequent. Cases of fraud and identity theft have been associated with Search Engine Partner. When a consumer attempts to contact Search Engine Partner, if they cannot quickly identify themselves as a customer or a prospective customer, the communication lines are shut down. Phone calls are not returned. E-mails are ignored.

Flimsy testimonials
One can see from Search Engine Partner's web page of testimonials that much deception is taking place.
- One testimonial comes from Scott Smith, VP of fireandicediamond.com. This is the same Scott Smith who is also a Vice President of the umbrella corporation held by Clinton Cimring, founder of Search Engine Partner!
- Another testimonial comes from Florida Atlantic University, where one former Search Engine Partner sub-contractor (Steve Clanton) worked in IT and teaching. Clanton later filed a report with the Boca Raton sheriff's office, because someone at Search Engine Partner was falsely appending his name to corporate communications, long after Clanton was no longer affiliated with Search Engine Partner.
- Yet another testimonial comes from the Frankel Coaching Group, who strangely enough, advertises for Clinton Cimring on its own website, and issued a press release that lists Search Engine Partner as a "technology partner".
