Glass Toilets combines design elements and water conservation creating a transparent toilet tank that houses functioning fountains and waterfalls inside.

How it works

The fountain insert attaches to the interior of the tank concealing the plumbing and redirecting the inflowing water. These inserts are based on different decorative themes such as spouting whales and dolphins, trophy fish, cascading stainless steel pyramids, and Zen gardens. Custom units such as corporate or team logos, replica fish, and other personalized designs are also available. The inserts are constructed to be completely interchangeable with one another attaching and detaching to the interior of the tank by turning a swivel locking mechanism. This gives the owner the opportunity to easily change the theme for different occasions or should their interests change. In addition to the limitless design possibilities, the water level for these tanks is completely adjustable. This gives conscientious consumers the opportunity to limit their water consumption without being restricted to the quantity designated by the manufacturer.

History

Since the invention of the gravity type toilet in the late 1800’s the residential toilet has remained basically the same. Making the parallel between fountains and toilet tanks Chris Jozsa a Montreal inventor set out to incorporate one within the other. “The concept is relatively simple once you accept a toilet tank as a source of clean water like any other fountain. After that it was just a mater of designing a tank that will let you see the fountain, and then designing a fountain insert that couples with the plumbing to redirect the flow of water”. In development since 2004 Glass Toilet’s tanks are as durable as existing ceramic fixtures, are compatible with most two piece toilet assemblies, and are constructed using only plastic and stainless components. Although quite different in design, these units function exactly like any other toilets and can be viewed at www.Glasstoilets.com.
